Vision

Vision, Mission and Values

What is the spiritual life all about? We live in an age where everything ‘spiritual’ is acceptable, as long as we don’t get to specific or ‘judgmental’. Often it is difficult to disentangle what our culture says is acceptable about the spiritual life from what God says is acceptable. Our leadership has explored the scriptures and we believe the following list describe the items that we need to be outfitted with in order to live a spiritual life.

1. Experience God in Worship
- Mark 2:1-12 / Acts 9:1-6
- Believers authentically trust God and live in a growing confidence in God. We are not overcome by the daily trials because of our relationship with God. This should spur us on to express our gratefulness back to him, privately as well as corporately in worship and praise.
2. Create deep connections within the body
- Romans 16:1-9 / Acts 2:42-47
- As believers choose to share their lives together in simplicity and humility, spending time together with passion and excellence, we create eternal bonds that will see us through the most difficult of times.
3. Be encouraged to grow spiritually
- Romans 1:11-17
- As we grow spiritually , we become more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled. The problem is, we have to participate in activities that will help us to grow in these areas. Participation in personal prayer and Bible study, LIFE groups, Bible classes and other opportunities for growth have to be high on the list of anyone who is really trying to grow spiritually.
4. Be empowered to employ their gifts in ministry
- Acts 6:1-7
- As parts of God’s body, we must be available to Christ, who is the head of the body. We should be involved in His work, stewarding the finances, spiritual gifts, natural talents and acquired skills He has given us.
